About Bloo House

Bloo House is an independent co-educational school for 5 – 11 year olds. Our natural approach to childhood learning through a multiple intelligence curriculum lies at the core of our ethos and as such, pupils have a very positive experience - an experience driven by academic excellence, well-being and happiness.

We offer unrivalled education, with high levels of individual attention being central to the school’s aims of nurturing intuitive and enquiring minds.

As a small school, we enjoy
many advantages over larger schools, such as small class sizes and a more personable approach to teaching resulting in a strong rapport with pupils and their parents.

Our curriculum is centred around the development of the
whole child from the teaching of core subjects to more non-traditional subjects such as psychology and philosophy. In addition, the curriculum also includes Spanish, French and Latin, art, drama and music. Our school's sports programme offers children an all round exercise regime through professional fitness coaching, golf, martial arts and yoga. Bloo House was also one of the first schools in Surrey to gain the status of an accredited Forest school.

Traditional teaching and common sense values mixed with an innovative and refreshing approach provide children with the opportunity to explore their independence and intellectual curiosity.

We promote mutual respect between the staff and the pupils in all communication. As such, all staff, including the Principal are addressed by their first names and children adhere to a positive code of conduct. Whilst there is no school uniform - children are encouraged to dress appropriately and according to who they are as individuals.
